Those seeking to have a lot of fun at home will definitely benefit from considering a Pug. Not only does the breed has an easygoing attitude, but it also remains very loyal to its owner. The Pug behaves well both with children and visitors, and hardly ever turns aggressive. This “toy” dog comes with a soft and smooth coat in colors of fawn or black. The square-shaped body with a deep chest and heavy muscles make the breed look impressive despite its size. Another unique feature that easily draws one’s attention is the tail that curls over its hip.

The small and sturdy Pug has tough legs that appear straight, while the strong shoulder tends to lay back. The breed has a pair of thin ears that are rose or button in shape – it’s the latter that enjoys preference inbreeding. The pug has small but strong feet and split-up toes that offer a firm grip during climbing.

Considered to be among the oldest breeds still around today, Pugs prefer regular exercise and a good diet. The round-headed Pug tends to have moles spread around the cheeks and dark and widespread eyes. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and Pugs are an energy-filled and excitable choice.
