I have a cat that when he looks out a window and sees a bird, he starts making a chirping noise at them, have any of you all experienced the same? What kind of reactions does your cat have regarding to birds, humans, squirrels, etc. outside the window?
My cat loves looking out the window. The only time there is a big reaction is if another cat comes by. I think the window is a cat’s version of watching tv, lol π
My cat likes also to make chirping noises, but only if there are birds or small animals. If there is a cat, he runs away π
Hehe, the chirping is thought to be a sound of frustration because they cannot get to the birds. It tends to happen when they see prey animals that is out of their reach. Mine used to chatter at the pigeons on our window sill when they were still indoor kittens. They still do Β it now when the birds are way up in the trees and cannot reach em.
Other cats get hollered and hissed at, to then be driven off the territory. Always sounds like someone is getting killed too. Luckily, it tends to be just posturing and fur flying for the most part.
Yup mine do that too. It’s hilarious. They also do it if we touch them while they’re watching the birds.
My cat doesnt seem to care too much about birds, but its an indoor cat π Bugs is very exciting though, and it gets crazy lol
When it is too cold out, my kitten loves looking out the windows. He just hates the snow here so that’s the next best thing.
My cat likes is also only indoors but he does this sound also when he catches spiders π
