Scratching under the neck

My dog seems to be really itchy on her neck. I don’t keep a collar on her and use a harness when I take her outside. She doesn’t have fleas or anything but I do see tiny brown spots on her neck sometimes. They aren’t alive and they come off pretty easily. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what was the outcome? Thanks.

I haven’r heard of it before but have you  tried giving her a bath and see if that would help.

Could be flea dirt…which means she could have (or recently had) fleas.  Are you using any type of flea prevention?  How often do you give her a bath?

Could be an allergic reaction.  My dog had one after being bathed at a groomers.  I think it was a reaction to the shampoo they used.

It is one type of infection nothing else.
