My first dog was a poodle. When my parents got him I thought that poodles were those ‘pampered puffy dogs’ but now I really can’t imagine having a dog other than a poodle. They are one of the most intelligent dogs! ♥
A toy poodle was the first purebred dog I had growing up. We got her when she was 5 years old and I was right around 8 years old or so. She was my introduction into dog training as she taught me how to teach obedience, tricks, and agility with household items. lol. She passed at 11 years old and I haven’t had another poodle since. Thought about getting one before getting into Aussies but didn’t like the breeders around me. Maybe one day I’ll try another toy or mini poodle!
Yeah, when I have the chance I will get a toy poodle and a labradoodle(labrador + poodle). They will be a cute team
My mother-in-law has a Toy Poodle/Lhasa Apso mix, and he is so smart and adorable. He’s an older guy now, about 14, and pretty overweight, but still as sweet and gentle as he was in his youth. The thing about Poodles being vicious I’d say is a generalization, and a bad one at that. It’s the owner and the individual animal that determines temperament, not breed.
A friend of mine has had two Labradoodles and they were both very good pets. They are so pretty and they don’t shed as much as other dogs. Her Labradoodle is high energy and loves to play. I’ve heard people who have allergies to dogs can have a Labradoodle with a lot less symptoms.
