Any fans of toy dogs will want to check out the Miniature Pinscher. This dog has quickly become popular among owners because of its distinctive look. The dog mirrors the look of its larger variety but has a few minor differences. It only weighs roughly 10 pounds, so owners should be sure to treat them with care. Known as the Min Pin for short, it actually has a more square size. It has a very unique walk, owing to its small stature. This has allowed it to become highly coveted by collectors.
This dog is also known as being one of the most athletic of its kind. This does mean that owners will need to give the breed the opportunity to get plenty of exercises. Most owners will want to train their Min Pin since it is a highly intelligent breed.
However, they are not recommended for first-time dog owners, as they are highly assertive and independent. Younger children can play a bit rough with them, due to their small size, which may not go down well with the Pinscher. Other than this, they do not require more than an occasional grooming and do not have any significant health issues of which to be wary.
