what a cute idea!

My little rescue dog eats Earthborn Coastal Catch dry food, partly because its quite good (4.5 out of 5 on dogfoodadvisor.com) and partly because she doesn’t like anything else! She’s a picky girl, despite coming from a shelter situation, and she loves this food.

I agree with what everyone else has said as well. We used to keep our dog outside in a raised doghouse with insulation, but we didn’t leave him outside at night in the winter. That can be tough. Have you ever thought about trying to take her to obedience classes? That’s a place where she would be around other dogs and have a chance to socialize with them, but with a goal at the same time. Also, you’d then have a dog trainer or behaviorist on hand to help you if your dog gets hard to control.

My little 7 year old corgi is terrified of thunder, too. She doesn’t like to be held during it, though, so I have a feeling the thunder jacket won’t help. She just goes to one of her hiding places and ducks down until its over. But she’s the only dog I’ve ever had who is afraid of it.

We had a pit bull/rottweiler mix named Itu. His original name had been Jackson but we spend so long calling him Little Puppy that it sort of stuck and somehow mutated into Itu. And my current dogs names are Tauri and Sekkari, but their nicknames are Babar and Kiki respectively. We just like to call our dogs odd things around here!

Right now, I have a corgi who is almost 8 years old and a shiba inu mix who is almost 3 years old. My shiba is kind of the same situation as Brandon’s Rat Terrier because the rescue organization listed her as pure shiba inu, but I’m pretty sure there’s some other stuff in there, too. Just not sure what! They’re both great dogs, though.

Hi Evergreen! Sounds like a great family! And I must admit, I’m a little jealous of your having horses 🙂 I hope to one day be able to have some of my own. I made great friends with a quarterhorse at the stable of my college, and I’m missing him!
