As far as medicines go, a friend of mine uses Tramadol on her dog and says it helps. Moderate exercise is good but make sure you don’t let your dog jump up or expend too much energy as that can actually make things worse. I’ve also heard swimming is great if you can.

My cat loves looking out the window. The only time there is a big reaction is if another cat comes by. I think the window is a cat’s version of watching tv, lol 🙂

Have you tried an Orbee ball? My uncle’s dog doesn’t play much and actually seems to dislike toys that make any types of noise but he loves that orbee.

I’ve heard that trainers of show dogs limit food before travel to reduce nausea so I would stick with that if it is working. When I was younger my best friend had a dog that was terrified of thunder and other loud noises. 4th of July would be the worst. I remember they always had to bring him inside and calm him down at night. I guess dog’s ears are more sensitive.
